SLMP is a supportive environment and believes in teamwork. We look for teachers who have completed or interested in completing Montessori Diploma/training along with ECE units. Wages are determined by the qualifications and experience.

We require all teachers and assistants/aides to:

• Complete, CPR & and First Aid certification.
• Earn a degree in ECE or a related field, or complete ECE coursework and have significant experience working with young children
• Complete a background check (DOJ) and meet immunization requirements.
• Participate in emergency training including earthquake and fire drills.

Each employee is trained in the protocols and curricula we use. All teachers are expected to use this knowledge and expertise to suggest new activities for each curriculum area. These ideas are shared at our monthly staff meeting during which all of our teachers collaborate and discuss.
